Regulars

Blueberries are delicious. So good. I have discovered that. They are this small round ball and when you eat one your mouth bursts with flavour. When I eat a bowl of blueberries I get full before they are close to finished. They are like never ending! Each small bite is spectacular. That is of course until you hit a sour one!

The Starbucks I work at is unofficially known as "The Biker Starbucks" Its because we have many middle aged men that show off their bikes there and chill with their coffees. I have gotten to know quite a few of them. They are, well most, very sweet gentleman. One commented the other day "Even your eyes smile". They love all of us partners. Not just the girls! Now one thing Starbucks emphazises to us is to learn names and remember drinks! It took me a couple months to get the hang of it. But now it is the best.

Although there are these four older gentlemen that I always confuse! They walk in and I almost always say the wrong one. They all have white hair, and glasses or sunglasses. Oh the sunglasses confuse me even more! I believe two of them have motorbikes. One orders a Tall Dark Roast. The Other orders a Tall Dark, watered up into a Grande. Then the other two guys are Grande 1 pump Raspberry Mocha, and a Triple Grande extra hot Latte. Dang it makes you feel good when you get it right!

There is also Bert, (I think it is bert) Ooo I think Im wrong. Well anyway. He has the cutest dog, Windsor, who has no teeth! I have no idea what kind of dog it is but he is so tiny and adorable.
Now another regular is a Dad. He has the most squishy daughters. Hannah and Rebecca. Whenever he comes in (which is every day) He gets a Tall extra chips Java Chip Frap. And if he is with the family his wife orders a Tall White Chocolate Frap, then they both get extra cups for the girls.

Now I have my two favorite regulars of all time. One is an older gentlman, who I would say is about 78 or 80. He is extremely short, a little bit of a hunch and crosseyed. He wears the same knit baby blue sweater and almost always gets the same thing. He orders a Short Dark for here. And everytime he says something about our little saucers! Once though he did just get a yogurt. Then he sits for an hour and read the paper. All us girls think he is adorable. My other favorite is a guy about 23 or around there. He is one of those kids who had all brains but no social skills in High School. Well he hates to talk! He always gets a Venti Java Chip Frap. All of us know him so all he says is "yup" "thanks" In practically a whisper! Its like "awww".

Man I could go on forever! These married guys who have thick accents and always get Grande Espresso Frap Light after they work out! Then complain that there is never any Blueberry Oat Bran Muffins left. hahah. Actually I went in today to get my mark out and one of them was there eating a Oat bran muffin! Or there is a man I havent seen for a long time who comes in at about 7am and get a Tall Decaf with a spoon and seranwrap!

Another interesting fellow is Greg. He works across the parkinglot with my Unlce Tim at Safeway. He comes in before work, every break and after work for a Short Dark. Very Funny.

Well you must all be bored now! but I love it! It is my Mom's birthday today!!! There was an Opera show a while ago on looking 10 years younger and all this stuff these ladies went through so much to do it. Well my mom doesnt have to! She looks at least 10 years younger! People ask who is older when they see her with her younger sister, who is 7 years younger! Crazy! Well we are going out to Presto Cuccinos today! yay! so I better go! Oh pics! I have more! yay!
cheers!

Oh Dear

Before I get into the bad stuff I want to talk about something funny. Last night I couldnt sleep so I decided to watch some news. Hockey is back! Im not much of a fan except when it comes to playoffs. If the Vancouver Canucks make it to playoffs Abby turns into a party city! They actually have to block the main drag with cement blocks cuz every teen in Abby takes their car out for a spin at about 20 km! oh man its hilarious. Well draft is big in Canada. Especially in the little prairie towns. The news was reporting a guy from the tiny town of Cranbrook who had i believe the high up Draft kid. Well he got drafted by the Anehiem Ducks. Oh yes Canucks has had some fun against those guys. Well the same day they announced that he was picked a duck of all birds flew into a section of powerlines. Blacking out the entire town! Oh man I laughed so hard. A duck! They say it had happened by some geese a couple weeks ago as well! Talk about coincidence!

So now onto the not so pretty stuff. I went to the Celebration of Lights with a bunch of friends on Wed night. Celebration of LIghts is also known as Symphony of Fire. It is when a few countries compete against each other with a fireworks display. We saw China's dislpay. It was quite magnificant. The way home is where the story gets interesting. It was a mob walking back to the Sky Train. There were I belive like over 120,000 people there. Imagine them all getting up and leaving at once! Well we were near the not so great crowd. It was a bunch of drunk teens causing a riot. Well they passed us and as they passed, one deiced to punch a few of my friends! They smoked Mark and Jeff three times each in the face! It was really freaky!. Thankfully no teeth got knocked out just bumps and bruises. And a little bit frenzied boys. Well we kept walking up to Burrard St Bridge then headed down Granville. WEll awhile up Granville we ran into the same crowd. Only this time we were the centre of attention. There were about 5 guys surrounding another guy in the middle of the street beating the living daylights out of him. Wow was I thankful I had four guys with me. Everyone just stood back and watched. It was horrible! No one wanted to have any attention drawn to them and get mugged by the other 20 guys yelling at this poor guy. People all over were calling the cops. The guy was getting whipped with some sort of stick. After the guys ran off this poor guy staggered around. As we past him my eyes starting tingling and my mouth hurt, the pepper spray odor was surrounding him. HIs hair face and shoulders were covered in pepperspray. His friend was also holding his eyes from pepper spray. His shirt covered in blood. I could not stop praying for him. I actually broke down adn started crying. A minute later 7 cop cars arrived but the teens had fled by then. I have never been so horrified in my life. Look what society is doing to teens these days. We have had so many stabbings in Vancouver and Surrey it isnt even funny. Young guys rae being stabbed and beat by a ton of people out of racial discirmination. What is this world coming to. When I read in the old testament or even the new testament for that matter of how Sodom and Gomora act, I see so many similarities to our society now. Its sickening. Or paul writing letters in the New Testament to churches in Corinth and such about certain acts that should not be allowed, which are normal now!!!!
The hardest part for me about that beating was that no one helped. There were thousands of people walkin up and down the street but everyone watched. No one wanted the anger on them or to get hurt as well. Sickening.
Society makes me want to cry sometimes. What girls wear now adays was considered porn only 10/15 years ago. Yet now they flaunt it all over. On Wed we even saw a drunk 30 year old walking around with noshirt on nothing one. It was disgiusting. She was making rude comments to every that passed her. Then in teh Sky Train a couple 15 year olds stumbled on with smoking pot! and partially threatened if any one said anything. One cop smelled it as we stopped and asked who it was but everyone was freaked silent. So stupid! These kids cant be older than 15 and here they are totally ruining their lives. Its so sad. I can only pray that God would unviel their eyes from the blindfold Satan has over them one day.
After saying all that, which may not make alot of sense but I have been mulling over it for some time, I thank Go dthere is a YWAM in Vancouver. I just pray that 3 or 4 more will open one day. Surrey even has one! Praise God! Prayer can do miracles. Prayer changed Maurtiania. So amazing.
Well this is really long so I will let you go. Id love to hear your comments. I hope it all makes sense, I havent quite put it all together in my head. But writing it out feels like it helps! God bless!

Amazing!

This weekend has been the most amazing time ever! It was a girls weekend. Kelsi, Brittany and myself headed up friday evening to the most gorgeous place in BC. Well the hottest anyway! Kelowna baby!!! The drive was breathtakeing as well, since it was almost sunset! We stayed at Kelsi's families trailer! Just us three girls! Party!

Saturday was the best day of all, im sure Kels and Britt can testify to that. WE woke up at around 930 and slowly got ready. Britt called one of her buddies she met in Australia Caprnwray. Matt. He invited us all over. Dang. He is one of few lucky people in Kelowna. He lives on the lake! His backyard turns into a beach and has his own private dock. Not to mention a sweet pool and hottub as well! OH and there is a boat attactched to this private dock. It was paradise! We spent the whole day there! He had some of his friends that we hung out with too. oh I forgot to mention. He has a trampoline! haha. Well our day was full of pool areobics, botche ball, bbq, chilllin in the pool with music. Ah the best. We also went to this old place called the Ferrry Docks. There we just chilled and watched the guys jump off and do tricks. Ok, this is hilarious! Matt has a friend Chris who came to hang with us after he went garage sale shopping. He came back with the funniest things. These two, oh dear I dont even know what to call them. Like numbchucks, kinda. Well they looked like they could be sword like fire pokers, but they were great! Chris also bought this suit. It was like an austronaut suit without the helmet! Well these boys were quite crazy, they each took turns putting on this suit getting the lil swords and flying off the diving board in crazy poses, as one took a picture. Wow the pics turned out amazing! those boys are so crazy! it was awesome.

Well after all that Matts mom invited us to come back for bbq! So we did, only it wasnt a bbq! it was a full out meal of ham, mashed potatoes, peas, ceasar salad! Oh it was amazing! Then because we were so full and werent ready for dessert yet we all piled into the boat and had a blast wakeboarding and tubing all the way until the sun set in the mountains! *sigh* I love boats so much! Then came time for a delicious strawberry dessert! After we hit up Blenz Coffee where Chris was working and chilled there and me some more of Matts friends. Needless to say we got home quite late!

Sunday morning was hard to get up. But we did and headed out to Matts Chruch which I believe is called Trinity Church. It was good. The sermon was great. It was about mixing friends, he took the passage out of mark. How Jesus picked twelve completely different men for his disciples. It was really powerful. Then us girls decided to hit up the beach and get some more sun to even out our horrible burns! Oh ya see on Satruday when we had headed to the ferry docks it was really cloudy! I was sick of just prancing around in my bathinmg suit so I put a shirt on. Then as soon as the sun came out I took it off, only to realize I had gotten a major burn while I had my shirt on. And to make it worse it was a wierd shaped one in the back! So i look so blotchy! hahaha. Ok anywhoo. We walked around Kelowna and just took in the beauty. Later we headed back over to Matts and played a board game. It was called Agravation! BOy was it fun, and agrivating. It is like from the 80's or something! A mix between Sorry and Trouble. hahah. Then we went out to dinner to a fabulous place called, Wendys. Ah I hate fast food! Later we headed up to this hill where Matt was involved with this prayer meeting. It was great! So cool to meet so many on fire for Jesus Youth. All from different churches too. Just a bunch of young people who come to this mountain to pray. We heard some really powerful things. One story that really touched me was this girl there is getting married in a week. She has be dreadfully sick for two months now. She was there but feeling really bad. All she wants is to be able to walk down the aisle on Friday. Wow what a test. We also heard about a Haiti boy named Steeve. He is like 4 and needs a liver transplant. He is from and orphanage where the lady in charge is Canadian I believe, and right now there are people after her life. It is a crazy story. So please for those people keep them in your prayers!

Well Monday. Our last day there. It was so cold out. Werll not really cold but cloudy and drizzling a bit of rain! So we headed to the chapters and read magazines and drank Starbucks. Actually I just got a cup of hot water and put my tetley tea bag in it! heheh it wasnt as good. I think the cup makes it nasty! After we headed ofer once again to Matts. This time we played N64 Mario Cart! Ya it was awesome. Then we makde Blueberry Smoothies and sat in the sun that had just made its appearance! At 430 we decided to call it a weekend and headed home. On the way we stopped in Merritt for dinner. Much to our dismay we found the only restaurant in the town was ABC! hahah go figure! The rest of the drive went well chilling to music and playing the infamous game of connect the actors! Great fun indeed!

Now this is a long blog so I will let you mull over it! byes!

Here we are at the middle Cafe with two of the waiters. They would take turns being the spokesperson/magnet. We had a fun time! You can kind of see the other cafe start behind us. Partially. Posted by Picasa

The Sandwich Man

I should really be sleeping right now but I got a memory in my head and I need to write it out to get it out! Well I dont even know what I was thinkin about but suddenly as I was trying to fall asleep I was suddenly transported to a memory from 8 months ago.

Well it was around Dec 2004 in Agadir, Morocco, North Africa. Our YWAM team had a habit of making names for the places we would eat. We had in Essaouira, The Brochette Man, The Pizza Man, The Chocolate Bar Man, The Spice Shop. Well we left Essaouira which was most of our favourite places and went to Agadir, a much more western town. Now I dont mean Western as in American Westerns, I mean they are becoming more modern. Well we were so excited to find this little shop. Actually I believe it was Gunna and Jules who went for a walk and found it the first day we arrived in Agadir. It was this little old man who had a tiny cafe. He sold yogurt and such and these Sandwiches. They didnt look to amazing but they tasted like heaven! He made them with fresh baked brochettes and the cute THICK peices of cheese and some slices of tomato on it. Oh it was delicious! He even served us Hot Chocolate that was to die for! We went there almost everyday! It was really cheap too. 5 Durham!!! we were all stoked! The downfall of the Sandwich was that the brochette sometimes was baked a little to crips and it cut my small mouth! not fun!

Well that is what I wanted to share, but as I thought about writing that my mind wandered to the three cafes in Agadir! It was the oddest set up. I remember walking by them as we walked to our hotel right off the bus. Well it was three cafes built all right beside each other, they all had pretty nice set up of tables outside. Each Cafe had a spokes person that wandered around. Any white person spotted all three (or sometiems more) of the guys who swoop to these foreigners! all showing the menus trying to buy them! It was crazy beign bombarded like that! One night we went to the middle one then the next day we went to one of the side ones and our waiter was dissappointed! It was actually cute, so we went back to the middle one! I actually have a picture too! We wqent there on our last night as a girls night and got picture with the waiters! Its amazing how many people there are crosseyed! I wish I had more picture to explain the ways of Morocco but I only have some. So here are a few enjoy!

Too long

yes yes im sorry its been a long time. Ive tried to write but just ended up quitting. I swear I have mono! im so tired all the time. Everyone who asks me how I am I reply "Good but tired". Ah it sucks. At the moment my eyes are drooping and my contacts feel like they'll just pop out any second! But ohwell. This week has been quite slow. Although I have done a lot. I went to my first club for my friend Sarah's 19th birthday. It was an after party for Black Eyed Peas at Cheers Night Club in Delta. It was a really nice one too. Big comfy couches. It was a lot of fun. Its just so lame how people have to get drunk to have fun! Me and Sarah had a blast and we didnt drink! Come on people grow up! Ah well. I had an interesting conversation with a friend about drinkin the other day. hmm anywhoo.

Went to The Falls today. Such a beautiful place. I went there for my birthday a couple months ago. So hot and beautiful! It was me Kels and Britt. We just laid out on the rocks and tanned. Ah relaxing. Let the worries of the world just flow away. Finally my skin is seeing some sun!

Well I heard from the Visa Place. Not good. They asked me for 4 things I am missing. It was frustrating because I know I had one of them in the package for sure. But even more frustrating was that I had sent the cheque and one other document before they emailed say "send all four together or you may be refused" Not cool! So I am just sitting and waiting. The one document I sent is relaly important. So I cant just re-apply yet! Im a sitting duck! Why does it have to be so hard!

So if you could all keep that in your prayers that would be amazing! Now I really need to sleep now! I have to go to Vancouver tomorow to buy equiment! good nite everyone!

Hmmmm Relax

So I had three mornings off in a row! It was so wierd! The first one I did a ton of errands and tired myself out right before working like 6 hours to midnite. Then the next day I slept in and was bored! The same thing happened the next day. I was bored! Man I didnt realize that working keeps me not bored. Dang that sucks. It makes me appreciate my days off I guess if I dont have them that much.
So yesterday was beautiful! Oh man was it finally hot! After all this rain in July! Of course I worked. But in the evening they didnt need me! So I called up Kels and Kev and we headed of to Cultus Lake! Only by the time we got there the sun had hid behind the mountains:< So swimming was freezing! It was still relaxing though.

Oh cool news, I got my camera! I love it! Only now all the pictures I take here, I dont have a computor to download them onto. This one is a dinorsaur:< Oh dear. I got an email today from the VIsa place. Finally! Its been forever. They have started to process it. So they havent realized that I didnt sign my check yet. It sucks cuz all I can do is sit here and wait and pray. They say all throughout the email. Do not contact us, Do not reply to this email. This is an automatic response. Ughers!

Im excited for tonight! A friend Kyla from highschool decided to have all these people from school over! So a ton of old friends are getting together! Its going to be a blast! Plus she has a pool and a hot tub! yes! score!!

Well we have two homeless men living behind our backyard. We live behind a church and they have been sleeping at the back of the church under and little shelter thing by a door. I have a feeling they are the same guys that just got kicked out of living in a tree behind Red Robins. They lived in this tree for months! We kept on having our bottles stolen and could not figure oit out. Finally someone saw them and saw that they had been sleeping during the day up there! So crazy. We they got kicked out and then it rained the other day and these two guys show up here. Its a little scary but i wanna give them stuff but what if they rob us! We are pretty relaxed here too:S Oh well itll be ok. Poor guys. My manager at Reds who is a Christian had writeten a not to them by the bottles. It was quite funny. I dont remember the exact saying but it went something like this. "God in Heaven is watching you and wants you to get your life back together and get a job and stop stealing our bottles." I had to smile when I saw it one morning.

Ok now I am hungry for some dinner! Good night all and have a great night!

Here is the stair case in Stanely House I mentioned a couple blogs ago. We had to polish that thing once a week! I loved doing it although the smell of the wood polish would get to you. See you go up turn right up turn right then you get the the top then there is a ring all the way around with giant bedrooms lining the walls. The doorway looks normal but it is acutally like 10 feet high. The doorways were massive! Heavy wooden doors too! Posted by Picasa

A couple summers ago there was a giant fire across BC. It lasted for months and took almost every firefighter across Canada to try and get it out. Here is a picture that was taken in Kelowna BC. So amazing! Posted by Picasa

This is one of my favorite pictures of all time. It is during a missions trip to Costa Rica in 2203. Its me with Adrian a guy i gradded with. We were all painting and i went around and got pics, fun times! So nice and hot too! Posted by Picasa

Me at my grad last year, I stole my friends long board for awhile! hehehe Posted by Picasa

Dang Im Cool!

After much thought about getting a digital or not. Well I got a grand idea. Pennies!!!! I have saved pennies since like grade 8. Every Christmas me and my brother both get bottle of Nes Quick Chocolate mild syrup, so I started to collect pennies and put them in the empty bottles!! So I have saved up about 8 bottles full! It has taken me about 4 days to fully count them. I finally finished today. Exactly $50!!! So that goes to my camera! Plus I have a tin full of toonies and loonies and a couple 5 dollar bills. So all together I have $109 in change! Im so happy! So that is about a third of my camera! but still a bit.

I have no new news about my visa. I should get an email any day now. Im a little nervous but actually crazily peaceful about it! Thank you so much for all your prayers I know they are making a difference in everything! Especially for me the biggest worry wart not to be worried at all!

I took someones shift tonight but I got there and they didnt need me! I was so excited! I had worked 530am to 12 so i was drained! But of course me the little flutter bug I am have to go out with friends tonight! So it is 830pm and im still waiting for them to get home from work. Well Britt anyway! You need to understand though, I have not seen any friends since last tuesday! Ah my social life is gone! haha.

This is probably my most random post but oh well! enjoy! Maybe ill throw in some pictures too!!

Plea for Help

Oh dear is right. Well Cherie made a big boo boo. I was so excited to get my letter and everything and be able to send for my visa that i missed one little detail that has ruined it all. I didnt sign the cheque. Not cool at all, theyll see that and send it back! i dont have time for that! So I emailed them today, although i know the offices are closed but they will get it early monday, asking if i could pay online visa instead, i have no clue if it will work.
But i am trusting God. He is able to do anything. He could change the weather in the blink of an eye! So I am having faith he will do what needs to be done. But ive also slowly learned that we need to pray. God cant do things unless we pray. We need to release him through prayer to be able to do the things he wants to do. For example if someone is ill and we pray they can be healed, if they are not healed either it was not Gods plan. And I have been thinking lately, not to cause controversy, but that maybe there wasnt enough prayer for a miracle. Not enough persistence, endurance. It is an interesting way of thinkin about it. i got the idea from the book Intercessory Prayer by Dutch Sheets. Its a great book but like all teachings you must filter them and not beleive anything. The neat thing about this book is htat he uses a lot of Greek and Hebrew and translates the various meanings that come up, which makes some things very interesting!
Wow well now there is a tangent! What I want to end with is that please pray for me and the visa. Pray that God will prepare someones heart there in Ottawa to be kind and let it pass. God has blinded people before! He can do anything. So all I ask is pray. And for me too for worry. That is one of my biggest stumbling blocks is worry. That is why I have the verse Matt 6. Ah it applies to me so much!. Thank you so much all!
God Bless

Coming Along

Its moving! I feel so good right now! I sent off my visa application to Ottawa this morning. Oh that was a load off! I had to go everywhere! I had to go to the bank, go get passport pictures and find out what a Permanent Residence card was since no one around knows! I asked so many random people! Finally a guy (who was a midget!) at a building I accidentally walked into told me! So that helped! Then i sent it off. Im really scared though cuz my passport is in it! And so I need it all before I can leave. So booking flights is really sketchy. But i am going to just trust God and when I find a deal God is pointing at Ill take it!

With all that running around I was almost late for work! So i missed my free coffee before I started and I was exhausted so fast. My break was a welcome relief. I have now told both Starbucks and Red Robin. At Reds some of the day waitresses werent happy I was leaving. It was cute. Then I was so scared to tell Starbucks! Here I am a new hire who has just found her knich and Im taking off! WEll Chris my manager was really good about it. He told me how it is not very often they hire someone who learns so quickly and is always bubbly and so great with the customers. Ah it made me feel so good! I want to go back when i come back but I know all the staff will be different which is dissappointing. People get transfered and stuff so much. I love all the people I work with. It was agreat expierence though thats for sure!

OOO ahhhh I found out something really really really really exciting!!! Ok my sister lives with her husband in California. Most of you probably read her blog, www.nothingbutbluesky.blogspot.com she is such a great writer, well her and her husband Josh are going to be in Scotland in April! They are staying at a time share with Josh's parents in St Andrews. And they invited me to stay with them for a day or two! oh man that would be so amazing! Plus if I didnt see them then I probably wouldnt for a couple years since they live in Cali and all! and they can see where I live out there!!!! eeeek im so excited! I also just cant wait to be at the giant house again! Stanely House! This time ill have my own room in the old servant quarters wing. See Stanely House was built in 1880 buy the man who actually started the town of Paisley. It is huge and everything is wood carved sent over from america! hahah the stair case is amazing! we had to polish it for our work duties! ahh so annoying! hhaha. Well you are probably bored to death so I will sign off!
Oooo thought of something. My Norwiegen friend from my DTS is in Turkey right now on a prayer missions trip, so if anyone thinks about it send a prayer up for her and her team. they are getting a lil sick and stuff. They were in Antioch yesterday! crazy eh! ok byes!

Decisions Decisions

I did it. I decided. I think I am the worst decision maker! Like just look at my shopping blog! I take forever to decide if I should buy it or not! Well after so much prayer, I made my decision on Friday. I am going to be going to Paisley, Scoltand and staffing. I have to commit to two years, but will probably come home in the middle for a couple months. I will not be like a main staff, my title will be Staff Intern. Oh that took so much wieght of worry off me! I wont be mentoring the girls for hte first bit. There is a 29 year old and a 26 year old...im 19!!! I will be mentored by Julie Simon, she is the main staff along with Phil Knudsen. Man God works in such crazy ways. Julie was my leader for my dts! which is so awesome! I love her so much. Then Phil is from Vancouver Island, he did his DTS right before mine, so they overlapped. So we met there. We were two out of three Canadians there so became friends quite fast. When I got home he actually was in Abbotsford going to Summit Pacific Bible School! So we would hang out here and there! So it is amazing how God works.

I am so excited! Although at the moment right now extremely stressed. Ive worked sooo much since I came home and it still doesnt cover it. That is a little frustrating. But I have to trust God. I also have to find flights, but I cant leave unitl I get my missioniary Visa which Phil told me takes 6-8 weeks! So how do i knwo! They need me there in early Aug but it is already July and Im still waiting to send the missionary application out! ah so many worries! Then there are the stupid things! Like should I buy a digital Camera! Mine is going to break any day and I am a major picture taker! Or a disc man! These little worries. If im tight on money I should be saving every penny! Then I just got a two year plan cell phone! hahahah That wasnt smart, ya that was me living in the world! Blah! hahah.

Well I know a little bit about what is going to be happening! They are praying for 12 students. I believe they have 8 for sure and a few unsures. Julie told me there will be 3 18 year old girls! oh that is exciting! Oh man will I relate to them! I just finished my DTS! One is from BC too! I think. Another girl is from Alberta! But again the majority is American! Everyone wants to go to Scotland! Come on it is beautiful!

Its so weird being mixed feeling. Stressed yet excited! hahah....ah shooot I gotta empty the dish washer!

The Future Is Friendly

Yes I was at Futureshop today! It was just such a perfect title though! Because for the past, I guess, two months that has been on my mind. Only it worsened this week! So bad that I have not been able to sleep very much these past 3 nights! And you know after reading my latest blogs sleep is necissary for me! So it is quite an uproar!

So here is the story. I got home from my DTS (Discipleship Training School) for YWAM in the end of Jan. I had planned to go to CBC, well that was my thought. CBC is Columbia Bible College down the street from my house. Since I was little I had wanted to go there. Well in Jan I started working to save up for it. Well it took me forever to fill out the application, and to be honest I never really finished it. Something just made me not. I dont know. Then about a month ago I had such a heavy feeling that CBC was not the right thing, it is one of those DEEp and i mean DEEP gut feelings. It happened while I was hanging out with God. Well that set me in an ackward stage! I just had no clue what to do. I missed Scotland sooo much. I had so many little ideas, go work at Starbucks in Scotland and live in a flat. There is this amazing little church that i absolutely loved in Glasgow and right down the street is a Starbucks that we used to hang out in every sunday. But at the same time I want to do something for God! Missions something I dont know. Even staying here and working didnt feel like I would be serving God! So I was in a coffufle! I had thought of staffing at the YWAM base I went to but i only thought about that for the future like 2 years or so cuz im only 19!

So that was my mind for the past couple months. Well on MOnday I decided to call my bestest friend from DTS, Stephanie, who happens to be the daughter of the base leaders in Scotland and is living in Scotland. Well I told her about my indecision about this fall and she jokingly said "Come staff this Sept" Man how can I explain the feeling deep down. Something I guess I coudl say jumped! hahah well after I could not get that out of my mind! Steph had said that they desperately needed another staff. That night i went to bed at 10, turned my lights off at 11 and FINALLY fell asleep at 2AM!!!! It was horrible! I prayed I thought I planned I got excited. I just couldnt get my mind off of it.

So to finish it up, I talked to Julie who was my leader during DTS and is leading this sept one as weel and we prayed about waht I should. Stephs parents, Gary and Bev, and Julie had the idea of me being an intern type deal. Since I am 19 and I dont belive in myself as spiritually mature enoough to lead the 29 and 26 year old coming in sept! Which sounded so great to me! That had been a huge scary part for me was the leading way older people. So here I would be under Julie and mentored and such by her. I would not quite lead much but here and there I would. Kind of like a staff in training. So now Im praying about it. Wow stressful! Im traying so hard to not freak out and just pray and see Gods guidance in what He wants me to do. But ah! So if I do this I would leave in about a month!

Man, so much. So if I could ask, if you ever think of me just say a little prayer for me. It is such a big decision, another thing is that if i do staff I have to commit to two schools which is about 2 years. So it is a huge commitment!
Well now Cherie must try to get some sleep! Im lucky cuz I was picked to open Starbucks tomorrow meaning waking up at 530 then I get a huge rush because we are right beside the canada day parade! ACK!!! not cool! hahah stupid frappachinos!
